Meet Our Trainers
Gideon Hesman
My name is Gideon, and I am the founder of Hesman Athletics and Performance. I have been involved in athletics since high school and played a year of varsity football at McMaster University. Despite being a physical top performer, I have always struggled with injuries keeping me from reaching my full potential. I’ve spent the better part of the last decade searching for training methods and healthcare practitioners to help me reach my goals despite my setbacks. Our facility is the actualization of a dream that I’ve had for a long time, a place where—under one roof—people training at any degree of intensity with a variety of goals can be completely supported. These days my training preferences are picking up heavy things and cycling, but in the past I have enjoyed a large range of sports and training styles. My current training focus is staying strong and fit for my full time job firefighting as well as promoting my long term health so that I can be at my best for my wife and daughter.

Leah Hesman
My name is Leah! I am a Registered Kinesiologist and have been working in both the clinical and gym settings for the past 4 years. I graduated from the University of Waterloo in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a minor in Medical Physiology. I spent the last 3 years working in a physiotherapy clinic here in Windsor, where most of my work was centred around the general population and athlete-level rehabilitation. Having dealt with a handful of injuries myself, I am passionate about helping individuals explore ways to adapt their training to promote injury resiliency and performance capacity. I spend a lot of my free time weight training, playing volleyball, and going on many, many trail walks with my puppy.

Jill Deimling
Hi there! My name is Jill, and I am a certified Personal Trainer new to the HAP family! I earned an honours degree in Biology from the University of Windsor, and later graduated from St.Clair College for the Pre-Service Firefighting program. I am now working for the Lakeshore Fire Department as well as Personal Training, and am so happy to be able to pursue both my passions and help others along the way. Growing up in the gym, fitness became a way of life for me. From mastering the basics to exploring advanced techniques, I've dedicated myself to understanding what it takes to reach peak performance. A big focal point for me is teaching others how to incorporate training to improve strength and overall fitness not only in the gym, but at work and for other everyday tasks to improve quality of life. In my spare time I do occasional research for a cancer research lab, and enjoy reading, spending time with my family and friends, camping, hiking and quite literally anything outdoors.
Hunter Lee
Specializes in Boxing
Hey there! My name is Hunter, I am 24 years old and have been boxing since the age of 12. I have a huge passion for Boxing and have competed in 151 amateur fights, winning multiple golden gloves, national titles, and even representing Canada at international tournaments. In 2018, I began my mentorship in personal training from an experienced trainer from MH100 and from that point on knew It was what I’m meant to do. I quickly earned my certification from the ISSA and continue to take courses because "you're never done learning in this industry!" I love connecting with my clients and helping them achieve what they didn't think was possible.
"Its not going to be quick and easy to achieve your dreams, but its all about loving the process and improving just 1% every day!"
Mitch Moore
Hello! My name is Mitch and I am a personal trainer. I have been training and helping people since 2010. Many years ago, I got a running injury called plantar fasciitis. I struggled for over a year not being able to run, let alone walk, without pain. After recovering, I decided to specialize in helping those who are in chronic pain recover and get relief from their ailments. I know what it's like to not be able to do the things you love in life due to injury. I took the necessary specialty courses that have given me the ability to help hundreds of people over my career.
Outside of the gym I have a 3-year-old son. We love to build forts, wrestle, and play on the swings. I also play saxophone, sing karaoke, do acro yoga, and enjoy salsa (both the dip and the dance). I'm always down for a fun adventure! I truly am a people person, and I really enjoy chatting and getting to know someone. So don't be a stranger!
